GS9 SAINTE LUCIE LES HAUTS JOURS

5h30 difficult

Length of the route : 0.0 km Town : Sampigny

Path marked out by La Grolle Sammielloise: Lagrollesammielloise55@laposte.net This beautiful hike will take you, starting from the old Sampigny station, over a distance of 21 km, to a hilly course, half shaded. You will have the opportunity to discover, among others, two sites that gave its name to this hike. These are the Chapelle Ste-Lucie, a Lorraine shepherdess canonized in 950, and the Fontaine des Hauts-Jours, an ideal place for a picnic stopover. You will cross the villages of Ménil-aux-Bois, Grimaucourt-près-Sampigny and Malaumont where you will have the opportunity to see oratories, remarkable (Ménil-aux-Bois) and fortified (Malaumont) churches with old statues and altarpiece. Coming out of the woods, you will have the opportunity to discover 4 superb viewpoints overlooking the valleys. Good walk.....
