GS 9 SAINTE LUCIE - LES HAUTS JOURS LAÏUS

5h30 average

Length of the route : 20.8 km Town : Sampigny

This beautiful hike will lead you, starting from the old train station of Sampigny on a distance of 21 km, to a hilly course, half shaded. You will have the opportunity to discover, among others, two sites that gave its name to this hike. They are the Chapelle Ste-Lucie, a Lorraine shepherdess canonized in 950, and the Fontaine des Hauts-Jours, a place for a picnic stop.
You will cross the villages of Ménil-aux-Bois, Grimaucourt-près-Sampigny and Malaumont where you will have the opportunity to see oratories, remarkable (Ménil-aux-Bois) and fortified (Malaumont) churches with ancient statues and altarpieces.
At the exit of the woods, you will have the opportunity to discover 4 superb viewpoints dominating the valleys.
Have a nice walk.....
